A CARTERSVILLE MAN WAS JAILED ON RAPE AND OTHER CHARGES. 23-YEAR-OLD CAMERON JESSE JAMES IS CHARGED WITH RAPE, AGGRAVATED SEXUAL BATTERY AND CHILD MOLESTATION.

ANOTHER CARTERSVILLE MAN WAS JAILED ON DRUG CHARGES. 22-YEAR-OLD PETER FRANKLIN SIMS IS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE II DRUG, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE IV DRUG, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA LESS THAN ONE OUNCE AND TWO COUNTS OF DRUGS NOT IN THEIR ORIGINAL CONTAINER.

COPPER PIPES WERE REPORTED MISSING FROM A VACANT HOME ON ROAD NUMBER 3 SOUTH. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE HOME WAS ACCESSED THROUGH THE CRAWL SPACE.

NUMEROUS ITEMS WERE REPORTED MISSING FROM A HOME ON HAWK’S FARM ROAD IN WHITE. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE FORMER RESIDENT HAD MOVED OUT AFTER THE HOME HAD BEEN FORECLOSED, AND THE HOME NOW IS OWNED BY A BANK.

A CADILLAC ESCALADE WAS TAKEN FROM A LOCAL BUSINESS. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE VEHICLE WAS STOLEN FROM CAR CORNER ON GEORGIA HIGHWAY 20 ON MONDAY BETWEEN 7-8:30 P.M.

A POWER SUBSTATION ON GEORGIA HIGHWAY 140 NEAR SINIARD ROAD WAS DAMAGED AND BURGLARIZED. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, AN EMPLOYEE RUNNING THE SECURITY CAMERAS SAW SOMEONE CARRYING WIRE TO THE NORTH SIDE OF THE FENCE SURROUNDING THE SUBSTATION BEFORE FLEEING THROUGH A HOLE IN THE FENCE.

A CARTERSVILLE TEENAGER WAS ARRESTED AFTER THREATENING PEOPLE WITH A GUN AT THE DELLINGER PARK BASKETBALL COURT. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, A FIGHT ENSUED BETWEEN SEVERAL PEOPLE AND INVOLVED ONE PERSON POINTING A GUN AT ANOTHER. A WITNESS SAID THAT HE TRIED TO BREAK UP THE FIGHT WHEN 17-YEAR-OLD JAMAL FASHAD KAY PULLED OUT A WEAPON AND POINTED IT AT EVERYONE IN THE AREA. THE WITNESS SAID HE TRIED TO TAKE THE WEAPON FROM KAY AND KAY LEFT THE PARK. THE GUN, WHICH WAS NOT LOADED, WAS RECOVERED. KAY WAS LOCATED ON FREEDOM DRIVE. HE IS CHARGED WITH THREE COUNTS OF AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND POINTING A GUN AT ANOTHER PERSON, AND ONE COUNT OF POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A MINOR.

SEVERAL ITEMS WERE REPORTED MISSING FROM THE PORCH OF A HOME ON THIRD ARMY ROAD IN ACWORTH. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, MOST OF THE ITEMS HAD BEEN KEPT IN A CARDBOARD BOX.

TWO CARTERSVILLE RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED AFTER AN ALLEGED ALTERCATION WITH THEIR COUSINS. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE INCIDENT OCCURRED WHEN FRANKLIN JOHNSON AND SHUREE JONES ARRIVED AT A HOME ON MAC JOHNSON ROAD TO PICK UP SOME OF JONES’ CLOTHES. THEY ALLEGEDLY PUSHED THEIR WAY INTO THE HOME, ASSAULTED TWO OF THEIR COUSINS, DAMAGED A GAS WALL HEATER AND BROKE DISHES. JONES ALSO ALLEGEDLY ATTEMPTED TO STAB ONE OF HER COUSINS WITH A TABLE KNIFE. JOHNSON AND JONES LEFT THE RESIDENCE, AND WERE STOPPED A SHORT DISTANCE FROM THE HOME BY BARTOW COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES. JOHNSON IS CHARGED WITH SIMPLE ASSAULT AND CRIMINAL TRESPASS, AND JONES IS CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND CRIMINAL TRESPASS.

A CARTERSVILLE WOMAN SAYS HER CAR WAS STOLEN BY A MAN WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING ON IT. THE WOMAN TOLD CARTERSVILLE POLICE OFFICERS SHE TRUSTED THE MAN, KNOWN AS “RAY”, BECAUSE HE WAS A FRIEND OF HER BROTHERS AND THAT SHE GAVE HIM HER CAR TO WORK ON SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. SHE SAID SHE RECENTLY SAW HER VEHICLE IN THE ATCO AREA AND NOTICED THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER HAD BEEN ALTERED.

FOUR VIDEO CAMERAS WERE TAKEN FROM A BUSINESS ON U.S. HIGHWAY 411 IN RYDAL. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THREE VIDEOS WERE STATIONED AT THE FRONT OF TAYLOR AND SONS, AND THE FOURTH WAS IN THE BACK OF THE BUILDING.

Brothers Charged with Numerous Thefts from Autos

TWO BROTHERS ARE ACCUSED OF STEALING MORE THAN $15,000 WORTH OF ITEMS FROM CARS IN MORE THAN SIX BARTOW COUNTY SUBDIVISIONS IN A THREE-MONTH PERIOD.

ACCORDING TO A NEWS RELEASE FROM THE BARTOW COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, 23-YEAR-OLD JOSEPH DYLAN HOLDER AND 28-YEAR-OLD JONATHAN DEREK HOLDER WERE ARRESTED AFTER THE VICTIM OF A CAR BREAK-IN IN THE HOPKINS ROAD AREA OF ADAIRSVILLE DESCRIBED THE BROTHERS TO BARTOW COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES. THEY WERE ARRESTED SHORTLY AFTER DURING A TRAFFIC STOP. AT THE TIME OF THEIR ARREST, THE BROTHERS WERE IN POSSESSION OF A “SUBSTANTIAL” AMOUNT OF PROPERTY REPORTEDLY STOLEN FROM THE ADAIRSVILLE AREA.

AFTER SEARCHING THE BROTHERS’ HICKORY HOLLOW HOME, INVESTIGATORS RECOVERED ADDITIONAL ITEMS, INCLUDING CELL PHONES, CAMERAS, MP3 PLAYERS, FIREARMS, GPS DEVICES AND CREDIT CARDS. AUTHORITIES SAY THE VEHICLES HAD BEEN LEFT UNLOCKED AT THE TIME OF THE BREAK-INS.

BOTH BROTHERS ARE CHARGED WITH 23 COUNTS OF ENTERING AN AUTO AND ONE COUNT OF THEFT BY RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY. JOSEPH HOLDER ALSO IS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON. THEY REMAIN IN THE BARTOW COUNTY JAIL PENDING A SUPERIOR COURT BOND HERAING. MORE CHARGES FROM BARTOW COUNTY AND OTHER JURISDICTIONS ARE EXPECTED.

A CARTERSVILLE MAN SAID A FRAUDULENT CHECK WAS DEPOSITED INTO HIS BANK ACCOUNT AND CLOSE TO $2,000 WAS WITHDRAWN. THE MAN TOLD CARTERSVILLE POLICE OFFICERS THAT HIS WALLET WAS STOLEN TWO WEEKS AGO, AND THAT HE THINKS THAT PERSON DEPOSITED THE FAKE CHECK FOR $2,860 INTO HIS ACCOUNT AT BANK OF AMERICA AND THEN WITHDREW $1,860.

A CAMPER-STYLE MOBILE HOME ON PINE RIDGE ROAD WAS BROKEN INTO AND BURGLARIZED. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, $1,940 WORTH OF ELECTRONICS WERE REPORTED MISSING. THE THEFT OCCURRED BETWEEN SATURDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

ELECTRONICS AND FIREARMS WERE TAKEN FROM A PICKUP TRUCK PARKED IN FRONT OF A HOME ON WESTOVER DRIVE. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE METAL UNDER THE LOCKING MECHANISM HAD BEEN DAMAGED. PAPERS WERE FOUND STREWN ABOUT THE VEHICLE, AND SPEAKER WIRES WERE LAID OUT UNDER THE BACK SEAT.

AN ADAIRSVILLE MAN SAID TWO OF HIS VEHICLES WERE BROKEN INTO. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE VEHICLES HAD BEEN LEFT UNLOCKED OVERNIGHT, AND ON THURSDAY MORNING, THE OWNER DISCOVERED PAPERS STREWN ABOUT AND TWO FIREARMS, A GPS UNIT AND A CELL PHONE MISSING.

Euharlee Couple Charged with Stealing Checks from Subdivision

A EUHARLEE COUPLE IS IN THE BARTOW COUNTY JAIL CHARGED WITH MORE THAN 53 COUNTS OF THEFT CONVERSION.
THIRTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD ALISHA NAPOLENTANO WAS ARRESTED FRIDAY AND CHARGED WITH 53 COUNTS OF THEFT BY CONVERSION AND ONE COUNT OF FORGERY. THIRTY-TWO-YEAR-OLD NEIL DAVID NAPOLENTANO IS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF THEFT BY CONVERSION, HE TURNED HIMSELF IN MONDAY.

EUHARLEE POLICE CHIEF DUANE SMITH SAYS THE WOODBINE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION IN EUHARLEE REQUESTED THE INVESTIGATION. SMITH SAYS BOTH HAD LEADERSHIP ROLES WITH WOODBINE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION. THEY ARE CHARGED WITH CASHING 53 CHECKS FROM WOODBINE RESIDENTS BETWEEN 2007 AND 2009. SMITH SAYS THE THEFT WAS DISCOVERED WHEN NEW OFFICERS WERE ELECTED. THE COUPLE IS ACCUSED OF STEALING MORE THAN $2,500.

A CARTERSVILLE RESIDENT WAS ARRESTED AFTER FLEEING FROM A BARTOW COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE DEPUTY ON A CHASE WHO TRIED TO STOP HIM FOR DRIVING A FOUR-WHEELER ON A ROADWAY. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, 22-YEAR-OLD BRADLEY BROWN PULLED INTO A DRIVEWAY ON JEWELL ROAD AND FLIPPED THE FOUR-WHEELER IN THE FRONT YARD OF THE HOME. BROWN THEN RAN BEHIND A HOME ON MAC JOHNSON ROAD WHERE HE WAS CAUGHT AND ARRESTED. BROWN IS CHARGED WITH FLEEING, DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE AND DRIVING AN OFF ROAD VEHICLE ON A ROADWAY.

TWO INFRARED CAMERAS AND A CORDLESS DRILL VALUED AT $90,120 WERE REPORTED MISSING FROM A VEHICLE PARKED IN FRONT OF THE UPS STORE ON MARKETPLACE BOULEVARD. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE OWNER WAS IN THE STORE FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES, AND WHEN HE RETURNED TO HIS VEHICLE FOUND A SIDE WINDOW BROKEN AND THE TRUNK OPEN.

HOUSEHOLD GOOD, VEHICLES AND OTHER ITEMS WERE TAKEN FROM A HOME ON COX FARM ROAD IN ACWORTH. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE FRONT GATE AND FRONT DOOR WERE FOUND OPEN AND THE ITEMS, VALUED AT $4,150 WERE DISCOVERED MISSING.

COPPER COIL WAS TAKEN FROM A HEATING AND AIR CONDENSOR UNIT AT A HOME ON CENTER STREET. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE THEFT OCCURRED BETWEEN SUNDAY AND MONDAY.

Man Accused of Rape

A MAN FROM SMYRNA WAS ARRESTED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING A WOMAN AT A HOME ON SCENIC MOUNTAIN DRIVE.

THE WOMAN’S BOYFRIEND TOLD BARTOW COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES THAT THEY WERE SLEEPING WHEN HE WOKE UP AND DECIDED TO GO OUTSIDE TO TALK TO SOME FRIENDS. HE SAID HE WAS GONE FOR 5-10 MINUTES, AND WHEN HE RETURNED HIS BEDROOM DOOR WAS LOCKED. HE SAID HE KNOCKED AND DIDN’T GET A RESPONSE. AFTER KNOCKING A SECOND TIME, HE SAID 39-YEAR-OLD FERRELL CHARLEY OPENED THE DOOR FULLY DRESSED, AND THE MAN SAID HE SAW HIS GIRLFRIEND WITH HER PANTS OFF.

THE MAN SAID HE CHASED CHARLEY DOWN THE STREET AND BEGAN FIGHTING WITH HIM. THE VICTIM LATER TOLD HER BOYFRIEND THAT CHARLEY HAD OFFERED HER AN UNKNOWN LIQUID THAT MADE HER UNAWARE OF WHAT WAS GOING ON AROUND HER. CHARLEY WAS ARRESTED. HE IS CHARGED WITH RAPE AND SODOMY.

A TRACTOR-TRAILER DRIVER FROM WEST POINT SAID HE WAS ROBBED AT GUN POINT AT THE TRAVEL CENTERS OF AMERICA ON CASS-WHITE ROAD. THE MAN TOLD BARTOW COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES HE WAS WALKING ALONG A PATH ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING HEADED BACK TO HIS TRUCK WHEN HE WAS APPROACHED BY A BLACK MAN WHO ASKED HIM FOR A LIGHT FOR HIS CIGARETTE AND THEN POINTED A BLACK SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL AT HIS FACE AND SAID, “YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS, NOW GIVE IT UP.” THE VICTIM SAID HE GAVE THE MAN $45 AND HIS BLACKBERRY. THE SUSPECT FLED WITH A BLACK WOMAN IN A WHITE SUV.

A POUCH CONTAINING SEVERAL PIECES OF JEWELRY WAS TAKEN FROM A ROOM AT THE HAMPTON INN ON GEORGIA HIGHWAY 20. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, THE POUCH WAS LEFT ON AN OTTOMAN. THE JEWELRY IS VALUED AT $92,250.
SEVERAL SPOOLS OF COPPER WIRE WERE TAKEN FROM A BUSINESS ON COMMERCE DRIVE. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, A SURVEILLANCE CAMERA TAPED A TRUCK PASSING THROUGH THE COMPLEX AT AQUAFIL USA. THE WIRE IS VALUED AT APPROXIMATELY $60,000.

Men Arrested for Selling Drugs at Local Restaurant

SIX PEOPLE WERE JAILED ON VARIOUS CHARGES AFTER AN UNDERCOVER INVESTIGATION INTO THE SALE OF DRUGS AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT.

LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL SAY THE ARRESTS WERE MADE ON SATURDAY AT CAFÉ DEL SOL ON MORNINGSIDE DRIVE. ARRESTED WERE 30-YEAR-OLD SERGIO RODRIGUEZ RUODO OF CARTERSVILLE, WHO IS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF SELLING COCAINE AND ONE COUNT OF POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE; 46-YEAR-OLD GABRIEL NOLASCO TRUJILLO OF CARTERSVILLE, WHO IS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF SELLING COCAINE, AND ONE COUNT EACH OF POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE AND DISTRIBUTING COCAINE; 21-YEAR-OLD AJANEL COTOM SANTOS OF CHAMBLEE, WHO IS CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE FORGERY; 39-YEAR-OLD NICHOLAS HERNANDEZ SANCHEZ AND 28-YEAR-OLD ERNESTO CRUZ VAZQUEZ, BOTH OF EMERSON, WHO ARE CHARGED WITH DISORDERLY CONDUCT.

OFFICERS SAY THE MEN SOLD COCAINE TO UNDERCOVER AGENTS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AND THAT THE RESTAURANT’S OWNER AND MANAGEMENT DO NOT APPEAR TO BE INVOLVED. THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING, AND MORE ARRESTS COULD BE MADE.
